GOD'S PROMISES REGARDING HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE
Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
Genesis 17:2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly."
Genesis 17:3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:
Genesis 17:4 "As for Me, behold, MY COVENANT IS WITH YOU, AND YOU SHALL BE A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS.
Genesis 17:5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.
Genesis 17:6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.
Genesis 17:7 And I WILL ESTABLISH MY COVENANT BETWEEN ME AND YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS AFTER YOU IN THEIR GENERATIONS, FOR AN EVERLASTING COVENANT, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
Genesis 17:8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."
Genesis 17:9 And God said to Abraham: "As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.
Notice in the verses below that the ISRAELITES HAD TO KEEP GOD'S COVENANT in order to Remain GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE...
Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, IF YOU WILL INDEED OBEY MY VOICE AND KEEP MY COVENANT, THEN YOU SHALL BE A SPECIAL TREASURE TO ME ABOVE ALL PEOPLE; for all the earth is Mine.
Exodus 19:6 And YOU SHALL BE TO ME A KINGDOM OF PRIESTS AND A HOLY NATION.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."
DID THE ISRAELITES KEEP GOD'S COVENANT?
Before Moses Died this is what the LORD told him...
Deuteronomy 31:16 And the LORD said to Moses: "Behold, you will rest with your fathers; and THIS PEOPLE WILL RISE AND PLAY THE HARLOT WITH THE GODS OF THE FOREIGNERS OF THE LAND, WHERE THEY GO TO BE AMONG THEM, AND THEY WILL FORSAKE ME AND BREAK MY COVENANT WHICH I HAVE MADE WITH THEM.
Deuteronomy 31:17 THEN MY ANGER SHALL BE AROUSED AGAINST THEM IN THAT DAY, AND I WILL FORSAKE THEM, AND I WILL HIDE MY FACE FROM THEM, AND THEY SHALL BE DEVOURED. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, 'Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?'
Deuteronomy 31:18 AND I WILL SURELY HIDE MY FACE IN THAT DAY BECAUSE OF ALL THE EVIL WHICH THEY HAVE DONE, IN THAT THEY HAVE TURNED TO OTHER GODS.
Deuteronomy 31:19 "Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.
Deuteronomy 31:20 When I have brought them to the land flowing with milk and honey, of which I swore to their fathers, and they have eaten and filled themselves and grown fat, THEN THEY WILL TURN TO OTHER GODS AND SERVE THEM; AND THEY WILL PROVOKE ME AND BREAK MY COVENANT.
Deuteronomy 31:21 Then it shall be, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for I know the inclination of their behavior today, even before I have brought them to the land of which I swore to give them."
Deuteronomy 31:22 Therefore Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.
MOSES SAID...
Deuteronomy 31:28 Gather to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
Deuteronomy 31:29 For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And EVIL WILL BEFALL YOU IN THE LATTER DAYS, because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands."
WHAT WERE THE LATTER DAYS THAT MOSES MENTIONED?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
Acts 2:40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "BE SAVED FROM THIS PERVERSE GENERATION."
Acts 2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
Philippians 2:14 Do all things without complaining and disputing,
Philippians 2:15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault IN THE MIDST OF A CROOKED AND PERVERSE GENERATION, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Philippians 2:16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
BACK TO THE SONG OF MOSES...
Deuteronomy 32:21 They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols. But I WILL PROVOKE THEM TO JEALOUSY BY THOSE WHO ARE NOT A NATION; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation.
The Apostle Peter Reveals that Christians are the Fulfillment of 32:31...
1 Peter 2:9 But YOU ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, HIS OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
1 Peter 2:10 WHO ONCE WERE NOT A PEOPLE BUT ARE NOW THE PEOPLE OF GOD, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Deuteronomy 32:22 FOR A FIRE IS KINDLED IN MY ANGER, AND SHALL BURN TO THE LOWEST HELL; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
Deuteronomy 32:23 'I will heap disasters on them; I WILL SPEND MY ARROWS ON THEM.
Deuteronomy 32:28 "For they are a nation void of counsel, Nor is there any understanding in them.
Deuteronomy 32:29 Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, THAT THEY WOULD CONSIDER THEIR LATTER END!
Deuteronomy 32:35 Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; THEIR FOOT SHALL SLIP IN DUE TIME; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.'
Deuteronomy 32:36 "For the LORD will judge His people And have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their power is gone, And there is no one remaining, bond or free.
Deuteronomy 32:39 'Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.
Deuteronomy 32:43 "REJOICE, O GENTILES, with His people; For HE WILL AVENGE THE BLOOD OF HIS SERVANTS, AND RENDER VENGEANCE TO HIS ADVERSARIES; He will provide atonement for His land and His people."
Deuteronomy 32:44 So Moses came with Joshua the son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people.
CHRISTIANS ARE GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE!
Romans 2:28 FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHO IS ONE OUTWARDLY, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;
Romans 2:29 BUT HE IS A JEW WHO IS ONE INWARDLY; AND CIRCUMCISION IS THAT OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not from men but from God.
Romans 9:6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHO ARE OF ISRAEL,
Romans 9:7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "IN ISAAC YOUR SEED SHALL BE CALLED."
Romans 9:8 That is, THOSE WHO ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD; BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE ARE COUNTED AS THE SEED.
Romans 9:9 For this is the word of promise: "AT THIS TIME I WILL COME AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON."
In Romans 9:7 the Apostle Paul is quoting from Genesis 21:12...
Genesis 21:8 So the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the same day that Isaac was weaned.
Genesis 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, SCOFFING.
Genesis 21:10 Therefore she said to Abraham, "CAST OUT THIS BONDWOMAN AND HER SON; FOR THE SON OF THIS BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE HEIR WITH MY SON, NAMELY WITH ISAAC."
Genesis 21:11 And the matter was very displeasing in Abraham's sight because of his son.
Genesis 21:12 But God said to Abraham, "Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; FOR IN ISAAC YOUR SEED SHALL BE CALLED.
Genesis 21:13 Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is your seed."
Galatians 3:7 Therefore know that ONLY THOSE WHO ARE OF FAITH ARE SONS OF ABRAHAM.
Galatians 3:8 And the Scripture, FORESEEING THAT GOD WOULD JUSTIFY THE GENTILES BY FAITH, PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO ABRAHAM BEFOREHAND, SAYING, "IN YOU ALL THE NATIONS SHALL BE BLESSED."
Galatians 3:9 So then THOSE WHO ARE OF FAITH ARE BLESSED WITH BELIEVING ABRAHAM.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS.
Galatians 3:29 And IF YOU ARE CHRIST'S, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.
So according to GOD'S WORD, it is those who are Christ's (CHRISTIANS) who are the ELECT or GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE!
